Pay range as stated is negotiable based on qualifications/experience.
Some of the key activities of this role include:
- Analyze and schedule job orders
- Review CAD models and/or engineering drawings
- Define the best sequence of machining steps
- Decide tools, speeds, feeds and fixtures to be used
- Work closely with operators to ensure the proper setup and operation of all CNC machines to maximize efficiency, safety of operations
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience as a CNC Programmer, programming with 2D/3D CAM/CAD software for multi-axis machining 2D & 3D projects, 3-Axis CNC Routing
- Experience with graphic art programs such as CorelDraw or similar
- Experience with a manufacturing company, preferably in a manufacturing support or problem-solving role an asset
- Practical experience in CAD/CAM software including: Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD or similar
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines
- Experience programming and operating CO2 laser machines
- Experience with Project Management is an asset
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Complex problem solving ability in a team environment
