The Organization:
Situated in Hampton Village, the Saskatoon Shines Care Home will begin providing quality care and services for senior citizens in September 2019. Our goal is to provide dignified and diligent care for those who need assistance in their living.
The Position:
Fulltime Position
-The coordinator will also be engaged with the marketing activities during the first six months to bring
more clients to our facility.
-When the residents begin moving in the coordinator will become more involved in regular care worker
duties but will still play some administrative role.
Regular shift duties could include:
-Housekeeping
-Personal care
-Medication administration
-Laundry
-Preparing meals
-Assistance with the essential activities of daily living
Desired Skills & Qualities:
-Professional and respectful
-Effective communicator
-Efficient and detail-oriented
-Patient and compassionate
-Able to work both in a team and independently
-Have a good understanding of the health care sector
Certifications & Requirements:
-Minimum 2 years of previous experience working in a 10-15 bed care home.
-This may include shifts, weekends and some emergency on-call duties)
-Completion of a criminal background and a vulnerable sector check
-Possession of a valid drivers license
-Completion of a two-day Personal Care Home Worker course*
-Standard First Aid and CPR certification*
-Food Safety course *
*Can be completed within the first month of employment
Salary & Benefits:
Negotiable -- dependant on experience.
