The Kids Zone Early Learning and Childcare Facility Director acts as the general manager of the centre. The Director is accountable to the Board to carry out the policy decisions made by the Board. The Director is responsible to hire and manage the staff who will provide care for the children. The Director acts as the link between the staff and the Board. Director is responsible for conducting the business of the daycare centre in accordance with the bylaws and policies set out by the province of Saskatchewan.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Ability to Supervise and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals
-Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives and policies
-Knowledge of understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for young children
Work Conditions:
-Interactions with children, parents, staff and public at large
-Operations of desktop computer and peripherals
-working in a busy environment with frequent interruptions
-Full time is 40 hours/week with flexible hours
-A clean criminal record and vulnerable sector check is a requirement
Job Duties:
-Ensure that the Centre is in full compliance with the Licensing and Safety Regulations, schedule any inspections and keep up to date licensing paperwork
-Ensure that best practices are being utilized in the Center to assist children in their learning goals
-Have initial and all follow-up communication with parents to explain the centre's policies, fees, regulations and programming.
-Deal with parent concerns in a timely manner and is responsible for conveying any policy changes to parents.
-Liaise with the Ministry Consultant
-Process enrollments, subsidies, billing and collection of fees
-Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback, coaching and formal evaluations
-Attend all Board and parent meetings
-Ensure that employees adhere to all health and safety regulations
