Description

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position provides expertise on all aspects of human resource management including, but not limited to: human resources policy and administration; training and development; talent management; performance management; recruitment and retention; compensation and job evaluation; and occupational health and safety.
This position works collaboratively with the BRT6HC leadership team to maintain best practices in employee/labour relations and employment standards, keeping informed on emerging developments, industry trends and leading practices in human resources.
This position supervises a human resource employee.
Qualification:
a degree/diploma in Business administration, Commerce or other related discipline with a major in human resources or an equivalent combination of directly related experience and training;
- A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) is preferred.
- minimum of 5 years of related work experience3, including supervising and leading employees
- Demonstrated experience in a wide range of human resource management expertise including policy development, organizational development, talent management and employee relations;
Thorough knowledge of labour legislation, occupational health and safety and related employment standards;
- Previous working experience and understanding of First Nations people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
