ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Handle outgoing/incoming mail, e-mail, and maintain miscellaneous office files.
2. Complete the daily reconciliation, accounting, and cash balancing functions (include counting cash and receipts, maintaining and reconciling registers, and preparing the tills and deposits, etc).
3. Research any discrepancies found in daily reconciliation process, and report any suspicious activity or mishandling of funds.
4. Prepare time and attendance reports, and verify employee time cards for payroll.
5. Process payroll on a timely basis, and responsible for the daily work related tax preparation with the accounting firm.
6. Make settlements and payments to vendors and suppliers.
7. Input invoices in proper categories as assigned by management.
8. Make computer entries and record sales and purchases, and prepare store daily and/or weekly report.
9. Assist management with inventory when needed.
10. Coordinate the hiring process including the computer assisted application, and maintain all in-store recruiting materials, applications, and policy sign off forms, etc.
11. Complete a daily reconciliation of lotto and lottery sales and inventories.
12. Effectively prioritize, organize, and follow-up on office tasks to be accomplished.
13. Ability to maintain proper attitude, professionalism, and teamwork in areas of customer service and convenience store operations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: College education with 2-3 years of experience in the area of accounting and bookkeeping, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook), and Accounting software
PERSONAL SUITABILITY: Excellent written and oral communication skills; Organized and detailed orientated; Able to keep sight of multiple deadlines and responsibilities; Problem Solving skills
