The candidate will be a member of our corporate affairs team and will be required to act in the capacity as a corporate legal secretary or assistant and will have strong skills in drafting, organizing, reviewing, and aggregating corporate filings and minute book upkeep.
Skills
Have the ability to multi-task
Have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows 10, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Adobe and Outlook.
Have exceptional organization, time management and administrative skills
Understand the importance of accuracy and attention to detail
Be able to work independently with little instruction
Familiarity with corporate law
Familiarity with corporate and commercial contracts
Proficiency in English
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent secretarial and filing skills
Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
Experience
Have 2 or more years of experience in legal professional office environment, as legal assistant or legal secretary, with specific experience in corporate law
Legal Assistant certification or diploma would be an asset, but not a necessity.
Duties
Maintain a professional and well-organized environment for the corporate office
Prepare weekly working dockets
Contribute to the legal administration efficiency by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Coordinate and follow up on all communications in a professional and thorough manner.
Learn and become familiar with all companies under corporate umbrella
Prepare, distribute, present and organize correspondence, legal documents, minutes, reports and business contracts
Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures
Utilize knowledge of legal records and procedures and frequently controlling confidential materials and documents
ISC filings
Corporate minute book upkeep
Participate in business origination and organization
