Reporting to the Director of Advocacy Services, the Advocacy and Targeted Sector Support Coordinator will develop and maintain relationships with the TSS Steering Committee, Provincial Cabinet, ministerial staff, senior bureaucrats, other municipal organizations, SUMA members, and staff in order to develop and implement the TSS workplan, manage various projects, engage in research, develop reports, advocate and provide support to others.
Candidates for this position must have: a strong background in writing for various audiences and using a variety of communications vehicles; excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; the ability to self-motivate and prioritize tasks; and the flexibility to adapt to new information and think on their feet. Some travel will be required, and applicants should possess a valid Saskatchewan drivers license.
Applicants should have a degree in Business Administration or public administration, and relevant professional experience. Preference will be given to those with related governmental, municipal, or research experience.
The current salary range for this position is: $63,988 to $85,888, and placement on the scale will reflect qualifications and experience. SUMA also offers a competitive benefits package and flexibility, which includes a modified work week and the ability to occasionally work from home.
