Description

Prairie Lily Early Learning Centre is looking to add a part time Early Childhood Educator to our team! The successful candidate will be working with our Before and After School program, starting in September working with our children in grades 1-6.

This program runs from 7 - 9 am and 3:00 - 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday with full days of operation on all school breaks, PD Days, in service days and summer holidays.

We are looking for someone who is fun, creative, and passionate about helping all children be the best that they can be. All candidates MUST have strong teamwork and communication skills. We also look for candidates with strong leadership and child management skills. In the Before & After School Program we work on teaching social skills, problem solving skills, and work to enhance other areas of development in children ages 6-12. We also work with several special needs students in this program and work to foster inclusion and welcome diversity in this program. If you are the successful candidate, you will be responsible for planning a few activities a week, alongside your team, to keep the children engaged and busy while attending our program.

You are able to have flexibility in setting your schedule for this position, and we love having university or high school students with an interest in education apply to work in this program. We are also flexible on wages and are willing to negotiate hourly salaries based on experience and what you will bring to this program. This is a great program that allows you to work from 15 up to 40 hours a week.
