Job Duties:
Operate a tractor, forklift, skid steer or electric pallet jack in a safe manner to move product
Load and unload parts from the paint line
Maintain the orderly movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods
Implement efficient storage methods, yielding ready accessibility of materials, permitting efficient space utilization and flexibility of arrangement, minimizing material deterioration and allowing for ease of physical inventory.
Maintain accurate inventory records
Provide assistance to the paint department as required
Maintain a safe workplace
Other duties as required
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
One year experience in a similar position
Experience driving tractors, forklifts and similar equipment
Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Able to work well under pressure
Strong attention to detail
Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Additional Requirements (can be attained after hiring):
Forklift license
Skidsteer training
WHMIS
Work Conditions:
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Constant light physical effort (bending, reaching, carrying light items, walking, standing)
Regular heavy physical effort (carrying, lifting or pushing heavy items)
Regular need for manual dexterity and coordination
Regular need to deal with simultaneous multiple demands which must be attended to immediately
Work required attention to detail, subject to frequent interruptions
Occasional peak periods requiring an accelerated work pace
Occasionally deals with highly repetitive or monotonous tasks
Overtime as required.
Hazards associated with a manufacturing environment
Work both indoors and outdoors.
