Job Description: In support of & under the under guidance of the OH&S consultants, provides safety services to assigned protfolios in SHR.  the incumbent assists with the development of policies & procedures, performsresearch on best practice, develops training materials, provides coordination of the TLR program and provides assessment of equipment needs and assists in coordinating equipment purchases and training through a collaborative SHr aproach. Provides technical advice with established protocols, gathers statistical data and performs special projects and other duties as assigned by the Regional manager of OH&S.

Experience
0-3 years of progressive experience in a related area.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced computer skills
Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to conduct and coordinate research projects
Ability to be creative in service delivery and problem-solving

Completion of a 1-2 yr post-secondary course in a field related to OH&S, education,or health care. Strong human relations skills and ability to interact with employees in a unionized  environment.  A strong interest in pursuing Occupational Health & Safety as a career
Expected Start Date: October 4, 2021
Expected Up To Date: December 31, 2021
FTE: 1.00

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days
In a 1 week rotation: 5 shifts of 7.50 hours
