Responsibilities:
Budgeting:
-Assist the exploration staff in the preparation of the Corporate Exploration Budget, specifically the annual budget and review forecasts
-Assist staff with the annual assembly of the Joint Venture budgets
-Enter approved joint venture budgets into SAP for monthly reporting purposes
-Prepare budget for Orano services and re-invoicing and quarterly reporting
Accounting:
-Review and process all Exploration related invoices to ensure internal controls, proper coding,
check for accuracy and verify that the appropriate approvals have been obtained in accordance with Orano procedures/policies
-Complete month end accounting in accordance with the time lines established by the Finance department, including cash forecast
Project Monitoring, Reporting, & Invoicing:
-Prepare accurate monthly cost reports for each project for review by the Vice President, Exploration and distribution to joint venture exploration partners
-Assist the Exploration staff with the interpretation of monthly cost reports and resolve coding errors where necessary
-Prepare and issue monthly billing for each joint venture partners share of monthly costs as determined by the joint venture agreements
-Calculate any required adjustments to ownership percentages in accordance with joint venture agreements on an annual basis
-Perform other related tasks
Skills and Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Commerce Degree and/or significant accounting training and experience
-Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
-SAP experience is an asset
-Excellent planning and organization skills to coordinate efforts and meet deadlines
-Excellent time management skills, analytical skills and able to prioritize work
-Cooperative and collaborative, and able to work with a multi-disciplinary team
-Honest, ethical, and respects confidentiality
