Co-operatives have a long history of serving members in Western Canada. In the early 20th century, people worked together to create retail co-operatives in many towns in the four western Canadian provinces (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia). The Meadow Lake Co-op was established March 2nd, 1945 with the opening of our first location, located on First Street East. Meadow Lake is a community of just over 6000 people in northwest Saskatchewan, serving a trading area of 35000 people.
Meadow Lake Co-operative Association Limited invites applications for the position of Meat Clerk, Student Position.
The Meat Clerk is responsible for serving customers with fresh meat products in the Grocery store. You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service and drive customer loyalty.
Reporting to the Meat Department Manager, the successful candidate will:
Meet all Meadow Lake Co-op guidelines on hygiene, presentation and customer service in the meat station.
Be knowledgeable and answer questions about products and their sources.
Participate in maintaining location image and housekeeping standards.
Provide proper maintenance of equipment, monitor case temperature and clean equipment regularly.
Provide positive consumer experience to all customers.
Other duties assigned.

Strong work ethic and positive team player attitude.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Available to work a variety of shifts including week-ends and holidays.
Ability to lift up to and at times in excess of 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently and as a team.
