Brief description of position and responsibilities:
1. Provide instruction in science, mathematics and statistics classes to post-secondary students in a wide variety of programs.
2. Prepare for and use appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments.
3. Manage his/her classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.
4. Use appropriate methods of evaluating and recording student progress.
5. Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.
6. Accommodate students with special learning needs.
7. Attend staff, program and division meetings.
8. Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements.
9. Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Work cooperatively in an interdependent team environment.
11. Follow any academic regulations and/or policies adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic and/or Saskatoon Campus.
Qualifications for the position:
1. Master of Mathematics or Masters of Science (Mathematics/Statistics)
2. Two years recent/relevant business/industry experience (2 years experience in the last 5 years)
3. Effective communication skills (written and oral).
4. Effective interpersonal skills.
5. Effective instructional ability.
6. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
