Duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the Program Manager and under the direction of the Senior Supervisor, the EmploymentWorks Coordinator will operate and maintain employment services, including vocational planning, classroom facilitation and employment placement. Duties include:
- Recruiting participants, conducting intake interviews, and selecting participants for the program
- Developing and implementing strength-based, person centered plans focusing on employability skills development
- Providing onsite mentoring and monitoring to participants employed in the community
- Identifying areas and strategies where accommodations are required
- Facilitating education with schools, employers, and other stakeholders
- Assisting individuals with self-management skills and encouraging independent action
- Collaborate with Supervisor to ensure targets and objectives for each participant are being met
- Facilitating employability workshops to participants
- Researching, establishing and maintaining contact with businesses to inform them about Partners in Employment services and facilitating employment opportunities for clients
- Working as part of a team
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in human services or equivalent, a combination of education and experience may be considered
Experience:
- Two to three years direct experience in the Human Services Field. Experience working with individuals experiencing disability is preferred
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to express and formulate written and verbal ideas and information in a clear, concise manner
- Knowledge of community resources
- Drivers licence and access to a personal vehicle
