Position and Responsibilities
As a member of the Amped Up project team you will work with various stakeholders to produce high-quality and easy to follow documentation based on existing templates with the goal of functionally improving overall job performance at Key Lake and McArthur River operations. This documentation is intended to improve human performance of critical processes, reduce risk of injury, operational mistakes, and regulatory non-compliances at sites, thereby improving overall working conditions for Camecos workforce. You will be responsible for acting as a document rewriter, discussion facilitator, technical assistant, and project team member. This is a one-year temporary position with potential for extension/contribution to ongoing projects.
Responsibilities include:
facilitating discussions between sites for the consolidation of mining division materials
review and reconciliation of existing materials and conversion to new formats and structures
managing content within Camecos document management system
soliciting feedback throughout the project lifecycle to make continuous improvements to process
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Diploma or degree in a mining-related technical field
Minimum three years of experience in the mining industry working with process documentation
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and SharePoint document management
Ability to successfully build and maintain working relationships with all relevant stakeholders
Ability to read and comprehend technical materials
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel to Northern Saskatchewan sites on occasion
Assets:
Previous Cameco experience
Associate certificate in technical writing
