Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Provincial Manager of Architecture and Technology Services (ATS) leads the technical teams in day-to day support of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agencys clinicians and business users and their access to clinical and business applications. The Provincial Manager, Architecture and Technology Services is responsible for four (4) service lines: Workstation and Mobility Services (WAMS), Network, Server and Storage Infrastructure Services Architecture, Integration and Database Services.
Leads the development of the overall technical architecture and IT infrastructure. Manages the lifecycle of products and systems, including evergreen programs for refresh of end-user devices, network, compute and storage infrastructure. Decommissions obsolete and unsupported hardware and software infrastructure aggressively. Leverages provincial hardware and software contracts to achieve economies of scale while ensuring that the Agency maintains autonomy in delivering on our technical service lines. Reviews hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts to ensure the Agency is getting good return on investments. Collaborates with the Provincial Managers of Clinical Management Systems and Population Health and Analytics to ensure that the overall technical architecture and IT infrastructure supports the delivery of world class information technology services
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education, certifications and experience. Five (5) years experience managing complex information technology networks, server and storage environments including hardware platforms, enterprise software applications and network security. Five (5) years experience in a leadership role. Substantial experience in technology architecture, planning and execution.
