We are looking for a Lawyer with three (3) plus years of experience in family & criminal law to join our team at the Regina City Area Office.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Legal Director, some of the key responsibilities of the lawyer are:
- Conduct of assigned files to professional standards & in accordance with the policies & procedures of Legal Aid Saskatchewan & the Law Society of Saskatchewan
- Negotiate competent resolutions of files to achieve fair, early & lasting outcomes for clients
- Work independently on cases as assigned by the Legal Director
- Complete accurate time entry and maintain case-related records in electronic database
Position Requirements
- 3 plus years of experience in a combination of criminal and family law
- Law Degree from a recognized law school
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Saskatchewan
- Technologically savvy with a keen enthusiasm for learning new systems including, computer literacy in MS Office, web-based legal research tools, and other web-based resources.
- Commitment to social justice and an understanding of the needs and challenges faced by low-income and marginalized communities
- Demonstrated time management and ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines
Compensation
- The salary range for the position is $79, 750 to $143,920 per annum, based on experience
