The Town of Lumsden and Rural Municipality of Lumsden No. 189 invite applications for a 15-month term position of Office Services Clerk commencing approximately May 31, 2021.
Job duties will focus on key tasks within office administration and include tasks such as:
receiving visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering and referring inquiries
receiving and forwarding email
working with municipal tax, assessment and utility software
accounts receivable and bank deposits
generating utility billings
providing general administrative support to other staff members
filing and other duties as assigned.
The following will be an asset:
excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills and listening skills
keen attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize work
experience handling money
proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
experience with office administration and secretarial/clerical duties
experience with office filing systems
a self-starter with a desire for meeting and resolving challenges in a fast paced environment.
