Job Description: UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE MANAGER OF NURSING, THE RN WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ASSESSMENT, PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION OF PATIENT CARE ON MEDICINE 6100 (ONCOLOGY/HEMATOLOGY/BMT).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)

NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the SKHA (Saskatoon) and its affiliated agencies.
It will be desirable if you possess a knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques involved in performing Nursing Services relating to the care of patients on Medicine 6100 (Oncology/Hematology/BMT). This knowledge is commonly obtained through previous experience on a Medical Unit. Previous Oncology/Hematology/BMT clinical experience is an asset. SHR certification in Chemotherapy for cancer patients and caring for BMT patients is an asset. Canadian Oncology Nursing Certification is an asset. Ongoing willingness to pursue professional development pertinent to the clinical area.

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days, Nights, Weekends
In a 4 week rotation: 8 shifts of 11.78 hours
