Job Order Detail

Description

Key Job Duties:

    Operate equipment and machinery such as small hand tools and trucks in a safe manner.
    Assist operators and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites.
    Act as a spotter for trucks and other heavy equipment.
    Load, unload, identify and distribute materials and equipment.
    Clean construction work areas where needed.
    Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks.
    Identifying safety risks and hazards, and complying with relevant safety procedures and regulations.
    Other tasks and duties as assigned.

General requirements:
    Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    The ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods.
    Physically able to handle and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
    Must own tools applicable to the position.
    Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Skills and Knowledge:
    Physically able to perform manual labour during a 12 hour shift.
    Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
    Manual dexterity with the ability to use various hand tools.
    Physically able to handle and lift heavy objects.
    Ability to be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
    Excellent communication skills: written and verbal skills, listening skills, proven attention to detail, and ability to develop positive working relationships.
