Description

The R.M of Weyburn No. 67 and R.M. of Brokenshell No. 68 are accepting applications for the part time position as Assistant Administrator for the joint office of Weyburn & Brokenshell and to cover a term position as the R.M. of Weyburn Development Officer.
The Assistant Administrator is responsible for a variety of tasks such as the front reception, answering phones, accounting practices and providing support to the Administrator and Development Officer.
Our Development Officer is primarily responsible for providing a range of planning services and administrative support related to municipal land development including issuance of development permits, building permits, subdivision reviews, related agreements and database maintenance and maintaining the R.M of Weyburn website. This position also provides support of the general administration of the office as well as to the Administrator on various municipal projects.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in the use of computers as well as a working knowledge of common Microsoft Office applications.
Administrative practices and procedures.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), customer service and interpersonal skills.
Provide customer service to the public on planning and development related inquiries.
Ability to carry out assignments to ensure compliance with development standards, design specifications, and/or policies.
Review development and building permit applications
Working knowledge of municipal governments, land planning and development processes.
Industry experience in a municipal planning, land development, civil engineering or geomatics office is an asset.
