The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority is a provincial government corporation with a mandate to manage and protect water quantity and quality. Our vision is excellence in watershed management promoting safe, sustainable water supplies in healthy ecosystems. Some of the Authority's key activities include operating, regulating, and maintaining provincially-owned water management infrastructures, including the Gardiner, Qu'Appelle, Rafferty and Alameda dams; regulating, approving, and licensing ground and surface water projects; providing forecasts of stream flow and water levels; maintaining, restoring, protecting healthy aquatic and riparian ecosystems.
