Nature of Business
Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region is responsible for providing health services to all who live or visit the north-east area of the Province of Saskatchewan. Services are provided throughout this 133,900 square kilometer region by Employees based in the following communities: Creighton, La Ronge/Air Ronge, Pinehouse Lake, Sandy Bay, & Weyakwin. Our organization is governed by a local community Board, which is responsible for the planning and delivery of our health services. Community health needs are determined at the local level through community health action plans.
Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region serves a population of approximately 21,000 and is located in the north-east area of the Province of Saskatchewan. An overriding goal of the region is to achieve a more appropriate balance between all components of care; promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative and supportive.
