Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Geoanalytical Laboratories - Geochemistry team has immediate openings for Labourers. SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories works closely with mining companies in the gold, base metals, uranium and diamond sectors. We are looking for full-time entry level employees for our sample preparation area in the Geochemistry section.  

Accountabilities
Perform rock/mineral sample preparation as part of a larger team process to conduct laboratory analysis for our mining and minerals clients

Skills
No experience required; all necessary training will be provided  
Good work ethic and must be reliable  
Able to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment

Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
The use of safety equipment (e.g., ear plugs, footwear, lab coats, dust masks and safety glasses) is required and will be provided
Some heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) and work in a dusty environment will be required
Hours of work: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.  4:30 p.m. (paid overtime may be available)

The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties.  The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.


This position is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
