Description

The Ministry of Agriculture has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated, dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join their regional services team.

Reporting to the Executive Coordinator, you will be responsible for a variety of clerical duties in the Humboldt Regional Office. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with general information and pathfinding, both in-person and over the phone. You will type correspondence and other documents as required. In addition to performing general office duties, you will receive, sort and distribute mail; coordinate outgoing mail; and perform other duties as assigned. Your work days and/or hours may vary from week to week in accordance with operational needs.

Our candidate of choice will be a self-starter and have strong computer skills to create accurate, visually pleasing documents using a variety of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You will have experience in office management practices and procedures. You will require the ability to accurately complete multiple tasks with competing priorities.

At this time, the typical hours of work in this position are six days per month and coverage for vacation and sick leave. In accordance with Article 9.2A) in the PS/GE Collective Bargaining Agreement, the hours may be adjusted, as assigned by management, and are not guaranteed.
