Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice. We are currently only looking for an apprentice with a Y2, Y3, or Y4 status. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn and develop your skills in vehicle maintenance and repair.

To be successful as a mechanic apprentice, you should be good with your hands and have strong attention to detail. Ultimately, a top-notch mechanic apprentice has a good understanding of mechanics and great customer service skills.

Mechanic Apprentice Responsibilities:
Following company-created checklists to inspect and test vehicles.
Assist senior technicians with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
Learn and apply proper safety protocols and procedures
Performing standard mechanical repairs
Learning repair techniques under the supervision of the mechanic.
Testing vehicles before and after repair procedures.
Maintaining the workshop and customer areas and keeping inventory areas well-organized.
Taking engines and other car parts apart to perform inspections.
Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used

Mechanic Apprentice Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Y2, Y3, Y4 status card
Enrolled in or completed a recognized automotive service technician apprenticeship program
Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment

Must have a valid driver's license and be familiar with both manual and automatic transmission types.
Strong understanding of mechanics.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Good analytical skills.
Physical fitness and stamina to stoop, crawl, work laying down, and lift heavy machinery.
