The Opportunity:  
The North Central Family Centre is looking for a Food and Nutrition Coordinator to support the delivery of nutritious snacks and suppers to over 50 children and youth each day.
We are looking for a passionate role model who has skill in the kitchen and the ability to form positive relationships with children and youth encouraging and instilling a healthy connection with food.

Job duties include but not limited to:
Meal plan: working with a budget to provide nutritious snacks and meals
Shopping and pick-up of coordinated donated food
Cook / prepare snacks and meals.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, track inventory of food and equipment  
Perform preventative maintenance on kitchen equipment
Uphold public health measures and licensing requirements  
Engage, and effectively manage volunteers to support the food and nutrition delivery needs for the Centre
Explore, procure and maintain relations with food distributors/ vendors  
Support food security needs across all programs (family literacy, youth employment, outreach)
Deliver food related activities and teachable moments to children and youth around healthy eating and cooking skills
Cultivate collaborative partnerships that enrich programming around food and nutrition
Track data and perform evaluations
